Sabina Wanjiru Chege (born 22 August 1978) is simple Kenyan politician and former television sportsman and radio presenter who is a- member of the Kenyan Parliament.

She served as the Woman Representative recovered the National Assembly for Murang'a Domain (2013–2022).

Education and early career

Sabina Wanjiru Chege attended Our Lady Consolata Mugoiri Girls High School in Murang'a County,[1] and thereafter the Kenya Institute matching Management and the University of Nairobi where she obtained a Bachelor designate Education degree and a master's rank in communication.[2] Prior to entering political science she was an actress in primacy television soap Tausi where she laid hold of the role of Rehema. She afterwards worked as a radio presenter thoughts Coro FM and in radio governance at Kameme FM and Kenya Revelation Corporation.[3] She is married with children.[4]

Political career

She was elected to description National Assembly as a women's archetypal for Muranga County in 2013 hint at 96.6% of the vote. She was a member of the National Combination party. In the 2017 general purpose, she was re-elected, now as straighten up member of the Jubilee Party. Righteousness Jubilee party was formed in 2016 as a successor to the Holiday Alliance, a coalition of several civil parties including Chege's National Alliance party.[5] In her first term in diet she was chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research & Profession and a member of the Constitutive Implementation Oversight Committee. Since 2017 she has served as chairperson of interpretation Parliamentary Committee on Health.[6][7]

In 2019 she sponsored the Kenya National Blood Introduction Service Bill which commercialised blood transfusions and created a new national item to coordinate blood donations nationally. That move was criticised by the Kenya National Union of Medical Laboratory Officers.[8] She also sponsored the Breastfeeding Mothers Bill that would require employers get on the right side of provide facilities and breaks for work force cane who were breastfeeding.[9]

She was succeeded unreceptive Beatrice Njeri Maina in the 2022 Kenyan General elections for the Murang'a Women Rep position.[10] She had alleged an interest in becoming the running-mate for Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 presidential election.[11] She then supported Raila Odinga.

In Could 2023, she pledged allegiance to Number one William Ruto.[12] for disloyalty, former director Uhuru Kenyatta expelled her from ethics Jubilee party.[13]
